Anti-EU graffiti sprayed at TA office

- • By HAGAY HACOHEN

Anti-migrant activist Sheffi Paz admitted to spray-painting “German money kills Jews” on the office of the EU delegation in Ramat Gan on Sunday, claiming she did it with Merav Hagag, who lost her son during his IDF service.

“We came to tell the European Union we want it to withdraw its funding [from Israel] and stop supporting terrorists,” she said according to Ynet.

She said the EU should end supporting “the families of terrorists, lawyers for terrorists and NGO’s which help them.”

Foreign Minister Israel Katz expressed in a tweet later in the day his condemnation of “the disgraceful vandalism of the EU mission in Israel.”

“Israel is committed to maintaining the security of all diplomatic missions,” he wrote, adding that the police are investigating the case.

The spokesperson for the EU delegation said that the office was closed on Sunday and no diplomat was present.

“This incident aiming to intimidate the EU and its personnel is deplorable,” the spokesperson said, “and should be condemned.”

The spokesperson added that “The EU delegation is in contact with law enforcement and with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the necessary follow up and to ensure that adequate security measures are taken.”

Paz used to be a member of Left-leaning Meretz Party, and hid illegal migrants in her home.

But she became convinced illegal immigrants are destroying the social fabric in south Tel Aviv, where many migrants live, and has become an outspoken activist calling for their deportation.
