Yitzhak Shamir
Last Friday morning at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, a premiere screening of the film Shamir on the Way took place, which tells the story of the life of Israel’s seventh prime minister, Yitzhak Shamir. The film was produced by Yigal Lerner and Erez Friedman. Speaking before the screening was guest of honor President Reuven Rivlin. The event was organized by Shamir’s son, former Minister Yair Shamir, who is currently chair of the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh Hospital); the hospital director Osnat Levzion-Korach; and Sigal Adar, the director of the Friends Association.
BOSS Bottled Infinite
Hugo Boss fashion designer house chose to hold the official event to launch its new perfume, BOSS Bottled Infinite, in Israel. A delegation of senior representatives from COTY, the cosmetics giant that’s in charge of the production and marketing of Hugo Boss’ fragrances, arrived in Israel especially for the event, which was held at sunset on the open rooftop of the House on the Sea complex in Jaffa. Sandra Riviori, Sales Manager of COTY Group’s Regional Sales, met Itzik Levy, director of the Cosmetic Division in Shestovitch; Erez Halabi, April CEO; and Uri Waterman, CEO of BE Network.
Leon Edri
Last Thursday, a dedication ceremony was held in Netanya in memory of the late filmmaker, film producer and Cinema City entrepreneur Leon Edri. The ceremony took place near one of the most important complexes built by Edri: Cinema City Netanya. The event was attended by Absorption Minister Yoav Galant; Netanya Mayor Miriam Fierberg-Ikar; Solange Edri, Leon’s widow, and his children: Eyal, Avi, Liron, Sagit, Moshe Edri, a Cinema City co-owner and his wife Pnina, family and friends.
Downton Abbey
Last Tuesday, Tulip Entertainment, the exclusive distributor of Warner and Universal Films in Israel, held a cocktail hour and screening for the new Downton Abbey film. The event took place at the Beit Ha’ir complex in Tel Aviv, and was attended by the British Ambassador to Israel Neil Wigan, and Tel Aviv-Jaffa Mayor Ron Huldai. Other attendees included: Oded and Ella Gera; Sir Ronald Cohen and his wife Sharon Harel; and Sami Sagol.
SABON
At this year’s SABON opening event, which took place last week at the Trask complex in Tel Aviv port, a holiday product line was launched. The event was attended by Roberto Botino, SABON World General Manager and Kimi Takima, CEO of SABON Japan, who came to Israel especially for the launching.
