- • By ALAN ROSENBAUM

Masa Israel Journey honored the memory of Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism in a virtual ceremony broadcast Tuesday evening to Jewish communities worldwide, including Masa alumni graduates and residents of Jewish communities in the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Morocco, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina and former Soviet Union countries. It was also shown to Masa Fellows in five Israeli cities.

The ceremony was prerecorded at the Latrun Armored Corps Memorial in front of an audience of hundreds of Masa Fellows in Israel, who have spent the year in Israel, despite the challenges and attendant difficulties. It focused on the stories of soldiers and civilians who came to Israel from around the world and died while serving in the IDF or were killed in hostilities.

Masa, founded by the Jewish Agency and the Israeli government, provides immersive international experiences in Israel for young adults aged 18-30.
