German firm cleans up Herzliya beach

-

German conglomerate Karcher recently finished cleaning up the dirt and tar that polluted Herzliya’s Acadia Beach after an oil spill in February, it said in a press release Tuesday.

“The project was carried out as part of Karcher’s international program for cleaning and preserving monuments as part of the company’s community and cultural activities,” Karcher CEO David Dahan was quoted as saying. “About a year ago, the company carried out a project to clean and preserve the Church of the Redeemer in the Old City of Jerusalem.”

In recent years, Karcher has carried out a number of international projects to clean and preserve monuments, including the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Jesus statue in Rio de Janeiro, Mount Rushmore in the US and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
