Public Defender’s Office feted
Rishon college holds seminar to mark 25th anniversary since establishment of the Justice Ministry department
Hundreds marked the 25th anniversary on Wednesday of the establishment of the Public Defender’s Office in the Justice Ministry, at the College of Management Academic Studies in Rishon Lezion, bidding farewell to outgoing Chief National Public Defender Dr. Yoav Sapir.
Guests of honor were Supreme Court President Esther Hayut, Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit, Supreme Court Justice Daphne Barak-Erez, State Attorney Amit Isman, Israel Bar Association president Avi Himi, chairman of the board of the College of Management Academic Studies Avi Balashnikov, chairman of the board of trustees of the College of Management Academic Studies Herzl Ozer, College of Management Academic Studies president Prof. Yoram Rabin, dean of the school’s Faculty of Law, Prof. Yuval Marin, judges, attorneys and lawyers.
