As part of the Maccabi World Union congress last week, about 300 Maccabi leaders from 50 countries arrived in Israel to summarize the Maccabiah Games that took place in the summer of 2022 and to start preparations for Maccabiah 2025.

In an exciting event that took place in Kfar Maccabiah, the Maccabiah 2025 logo was unveiled in the presence of Minster of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar.

The Maccabiah logo that was launched at the event was designed by the artist Itay Blaish, the designer of the Maccabiah 2017 and 2022 logos.

“I am happy to open the preparations for Maccabiah 2025, which is approaching quickly,” said Zohar. “The great event that unites all Jews in Israel and the world through sports is an example like no other. I wish success to the Maccabi movement worldwide and the Maccabiah organizing committee and congratulate the beautiful logo presented here this evening.”

During the ceremony, the new chairman of Maccabiah, Assaf Goren, thanked outgoing chairman Arik Ze’evi for his great contribution to the success of Maccabiah. Ze’evi will continue to be a central part of the organizing committee for Maccabiah 2025.

“We are excited to launch the Maccabiah logo, which marks the beginning of the countdown to Maccabiah in the summer of 2025,” said Goren. “We thank the Ministry of Culture and Sport for leading the Israeli government’s support for Maccabiah 2025 as well, and we are sure that many more partners will join and contribute to Maccabiah’s success.”

About 35 young leaders from 20 countries, the future of Maccabi leadership around the world, also took part in the congress.
