Using fresh yeast cubes or granules: It suffices to mix the yeast with flour. There is no need to dissolve it in liquid before making the dough.
In the supermarket you will find fresh yeast alongside dried yeast. It is best to keep it in the pantry when it is still closed. Dried yeast has a long shelf life, especially if you keep it in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
