Using fresh yeast cubes or granules: It suffices to mix the yeast with flour. There is no need to dissolve it in liquid before making the dough.

In the supermarke­t you will find fresh yeast alongside dried yeast. It is best to keep it in the pantry when it is still closed. Dried yeast has a long shelf life, especially if you keep it in the refrigerat­or or in the freezer.
