37 in­jured as thou­sands protest on Gaza-Is­rael bor­der

Not­with­stand­ing the in­clement weather, an es­ti­mated 10,000 Gazans, in­clud­ing se­nior Ha­mas lead­ers, par­tic­i­pated in sev­eral ral­lies on Fri­day near the se­cu­rity fence in weekly “Great March of Re­turn” protests, throw­ing stones at IDF troops and at­tempt­ing to dam­age the bor­der bar­rier.

Thirty-seven de­mon­stra­tors were in­jured in clashes along the Gaza-Is­rael bor­der, ac­cord­ing to the Ha­mas-af­fil­i­ated Pales­tinian Health Min­istry.

The Health Min­istry re­ported that 17 of those de­mon­stra­tors were wounded by IDF gun­fire.

This is the 37th week of the on­go­ing protests.
