Cu­ra­ta dall’ar­chi­tet­to e sto­ri­co por­to­ghe­se Joa­quim Mo­re­no, The Uni­ver­si­ty is Now on Air. Broa­d­ca­sting Mo­dern Ar­chi­tec­tu­re (fi­no al 1 apri­le) è una mostra al CCA di Mon­treal che si sof­fer­ma su un so­lo mo­du­lo di que­sta vi­cen­da – Hi­sto­ry of Ar­chi­tec­tu­re and De­si­gn 1890-1939 – par­te del pro­gram­ma di lau­rea in sto­ria dell’ar­te. Ep­pu­re la ric­chez­za e va­sti­tà di ma­te­ria­li e di rac­con­ti pa­ral­le­li a que­sto mo­du­lo edu­ca­ti­vo è in­cre­di­bi­le. (FG)

In the 1970s, un­der a pu­sh by Ha­rold Wil­son’s La­bour go­vern­ment, mil­lions of ho­mes in the UK tu­ned in to the BBC to ta­ke Open Uni­ver­si­ty cour­ses, an ini­tia­ti­ve whi­ch had as its goal to ma­ke uni­ver­si­ty edu­ca­tion ac­ces­si­ble to eve­ryo­ne. The ar­chi­tect and hi­sto­rian Joa­quim Mo­re­no fo­cu­ses on ju­st a unit – Hi­sto­ry of Ar­chi­tec­tu­re and De­si­gn 1890-1939 – in the ex­hi­bit The Uni­ver­si­ty is Now on Air. Broa­d­ca­sting Mo­dern Ar­chi­tec­tu­re, on sta­ge at the Mon­treal’s CCA (up to April 1). The unit was part of the de­gree pro­gram­me in art hi­sto­ry, yet the rich­ness and vast­ness of ma­te­rials and of pa­ral­lel sto­ries to this edu­ca­tio­nal chap­ter is in­cre­di­ble.
