Selezionato tra i Rising Talents italiani da Maison&Objet 2018 a Parigi, Federico Peri, sofisticato e attento a riscrivere con attitudine contemporanea il bel disegno della tradizione italiana, esplora da qualche anno il mondo del lighting design. Tra pezzi in edizione limitata, come il lampadario Charlotte della Galleria Nilufar, e prodotti di serie, come la nuova sospensione della famiglia Galerie per FontanaArte, riesce far dialogare due mondi solo apparentemente lontani. Sempre al Salone vedremo le due nuove lampade per Editions Milano: lanterne giapponesi ispirate all’architettura del Bauhaus, dove prevale la struttura grafica che ingabbia la luce come in gioco d’ombre. E tra le novità l’approdo all’uso di un materiale poco frequentato dai designer come la pelle: ovvero il debutto con una collezione di complementi d’arredo per Baxter e una capsule collection di arredi conciati, che includono un tappeto, una poltrona e dei tavolini, per l’azienda di pelletteria toscana Il Bisonte.
Singled out as one Italy’s Rising Talents by Maison&Objet 2018 in Paris, Federico Peri, who with great care and sophistication reinterprets in a contemporary vein the tradition of fine Italian design, has in recent years been exploring the world of lighting design. With limited edition pieces such as the
Charlotte chandelier for Nilufar Gallery, and series-produced creations like the new pendant lamp in the Galerie family for FontanaArte, he generates interaction between two worlds that are only apparently far removed from one another. Also at the Fair we will see two new lamps for Editions Milano: Japanese lanterns inspired by Bauhaus architecture, whose main feature is the graphic structure that encloses the bulb to produce an interplay of shadows and light. His latest ideas include leather, a material that has been little used by designers, with the launch of a collection of furnishing complements for Baxter and a capsule collection of tanned furnishings, including a rug, an armchair and some occasional tables for the Tuscan leather firm Il Bisonte.
