Per la collezione Homme Plissé a/i 2024, la maison Issey Miyake ha reclutato il designer e artista Ronan Bouroullec. A sfilare sotto le volte del Palais de Tokyo di Parigi, una serie di capi dove i disegni del creativo francese sono stati riprodotti sui tessuti plissé, firma inconfondibile del marchio. Serigrafati, i motivi decorano completi dalle forme scivolate, cappotti e poncho dai tagli trasversali, camicie ricamate a colori vividi e accessori di maglia da indossare in molti modi. Voluminosi capispalla monocromatici, che possono essere avvolti intorno al corpo su più strati, traducono in tre dimensioni la serie di opere a pennarello All Over di Ronan, dando proprio l’impressione di vestire un disegno. La versatilità creativa del designer è anche al centro del nuovo volume Day After Day (Phaidon), una sorta di diario per immagini del suo mondo a cavallo tra arte e design. • For the Homme Plissé 2024 autumn-winter collection, the Issey Miyake fashion house enlisted the services of the designer and artist Ronan Bouroullec. The new series of garments was presented in a fashion show held beneath the vaulted ceilings of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris: the French creative’s designs were reproduced on the brand’s unmistakable pleated fabrics. Screenprinted patterns decorate suits with flowing shapes, coats and ponchos with diagonal cuts, shirts embroidered in vivid colours and knitted accessories to be worn in many ways. Voluminous monochrome outerwear that wraps around the body in multiple layers, translate Ronan’s All Over series of felt-tip works into three dimensions, giving the impression of dressing a drawing.
