Si inserisce con armonia nel tessuto cittadino il nuovo complesso residenziale progettato da Cino Zucchi in via Valtorta, a Milano. Ripercorre una ricerca tipica dell’architetto: tasche urbane e insenature piegano gli edifici verso la corte interna, creando una dialettica dinamica tra spazi pubblici e privati. «Sta nel galateo urbano della città», commenta Zucchi nell’illustrare l’impianto composto di tre volumi con mix di funzioni commerciali e abitative, collegati da un basamento continuo e uniforme che consolida le relazioni spaziali con il contesto e da cui spicca una torre intagliata ai primi piani da un ‘passage urbano’. Zucchi ricava anche spazi ‘inbetween’, come le soglie dei terrazzi-logge che a sud affondano nei volumi con diverse profondità, in un gesto scultoreo. • The new residential complex designed by Cino Zucchi in Via Valtorta, Milan, blends harmoniously into the city fabric. It represents the typical research approach adopted by the architect: urban pockets and inlets bend the buildings towards the inner courtyard, creating a dynamic dialectic between public and private spaces. “It is part of the urban etiquette of the city,” comments Zucchi when illustrating the system composed of three volumes with a mix of commercial and residential functions, connected by a continuous base that consolidates the spatial relationships with their context and from which protrudes a tower cut through on the first floors by an ‘urban passageway’.
