ALITALIA MAGNIFICA CLASS, AN EXCLUSIVE WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE BEST OF ITALY AT HIGH ALTITUDES.

Even at an altitude of 20,000 feet, in Alitalia Magnifica Class you feel right at home. An idea of luxury based on Italian style, where every detail speaks of fine craftsmanship, inventive design and outstanding cuisine. Launched in 2010, after a few years Magnifica gave way to other offerings for business travel, but today it is back with a series of new features, on Airbus A 330 and Boeing 777 aircraft. As Fabio Maria Lazzerini, Chief Commercial Officer of Alitalia, explains: «Magnifica is a class with unique characteristics for the long-haul market, featuring quality and design made in Italy». The seats are covered in Poltrona Frau leather, the tableware is by Richard Ginori, with coffee by Lavazza and sparkling wines by Ferrari. Travelers can take advantage of the special “Dine Anytime” service, enjoying meals based on different regional Italian specialties. The menu is exceptional, and in fact 22,000 frequent flyers named it the best in the world in a survey conducted by the American monthly Global Traveler. «Above all, we have trained our flight assistants to offer passengers our gourmet meals with the perfect selection of the finest Italian wines», Lazzerini says, underlining the fact that service is one of the main aspects of the in-flight experience. Taste and creativity set the tone for a narrative of our country from a range of different perspectives. The accent is on the best of the Italian lifestyle, joined by a series of technological solutions. As Lazzerini explains, «we have introduced Wi-Fi connectivity for phone calls, Internet and e-mail, while the seats – with a massage function – recline completely to become comfortable beds».
