A LUXURIOUS APARTMENT IN NOLITA, WITH INTERIORS BY THE DESIGN STUDIO OF LENNY KRAVITZ.

“Soulful Elegance” is the concept applied by Kravitz Design, the studio created in 2003 by the famous musician Lenny Kravitz. A recent specimen of their work can be seen at 75 Kenmare, an exclusive condo building in the trendy NoLita district. The firm has conducted in-depth research to create the interiors of 38 apartments, with a forceful accent on materials. Varieties of wood, marble and metals have been carefully selected to create an atmosphere of nonchalant elegance. The team has worked in close contact with other professionals, including the architect Andre Kikoski and the developer Dan Hollander. The typical taste of Kravitz Design, which also has a collection of furniture and objects, aptly reflects the personality of the architecture by Kikoski, in a successful exterior-interior synergy. The building has almost classical overtones, a contemporary rigor that suggests authoritative knowledge of the past with its austere lines. The large vertical windows are like ideal transparent pilasters. The same poise continues inside, starting with the lobby that conveys a sense of classicism and luxury with a Portuguese slate counter, in contrast with floors that combine different materials, from quartzite to marble to travertine.
