Italian style and design in Moscow

-

Italy and Russia have entertained excellent cultural relations throughout the centuries: countless Italian artists moved to Russia and were able to make their fortune at the court of the Tsars. Russian court imported artists, architects, and other skilled individuals, bringing italian culture straight and using their inventiveness to raise palace and cities. After many centuries it still happens as a perfect exchange for the two countries: Italy has the talent but lacks the resources to support it, Russia has the resources but still admires and appreciates the italian style and design. Studio D73 by Marco Vismara and Andrea Viganò is specialized in architectural and design projects in a wide international dimension. Studio D73 deals with interior design, diff erent commercial and private projects, from analysis to production, and carries out the project phases thanks to a very efficient team of professionals based in the headquarter in Italy and the two other offices in Moscow, Tunis and Tbilisi. Within the past few years, Studio D73 has grown and reached many countries abroad, mainly in Russia, with the aim of keeping growing in the near future. State-of-the-art design project solutions by Studio D73 include Spa, hotel, showroom, and residential buildings. One of them was just completed in the vicinity of Moscow and it consists in a Villa with a beautiful SPA spread over three floors, largely divided between a wet zone and a dry one with various treatments allotted to each zone. The dry zone comprises a fitness area, featuring a well equipped gym as well as relax area. The wet zone includes a large swimming pool with whirlpools, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a Kneipp path and a mood-lit shower with aromatherapy offerings. Studio D73 took a forensic approach to curate the light and acoustics of the centre, installing false-ceilings to absorb noise and promote relaxation after conducting a sound study and covering these ceilings in specchiopiuma – a high quality stretch mirror that creates the impression of added dimensions. Glass wall and steel are the preferred materials to allow the surrounding bush to enter visually inside the building, ih full respect with the local enviroment. A balance that convey harmony and a sense of wellbeing. The result is a project utterly unique, like a custom couture dress respecting the client’s requirements and a shared vision. A fully italian creative approach, enriched by technical knowledge and the art of using modern materials and lights.
