A jewel in the heart of Beijing

-

Located on the upper floors of WF Central, one of Beijing's main shopping malls, Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing offers 73 of the largest and most elegant rooms and suites in the entire capital, almost all overlooking the architectural wonders of the forbidden city and the modern metropolis. The rooms, difficult to imitate, have been designed with a style that combines a contemporary aesthetic with elements of classical Chinese architecture. The swirling design of the carpets that cover the floors of the entire hotel is inspired by the colors of the traditional Chinese glazed ceramic known as Longquan Celadon. In a nutshell, the hotel looks like a jewel set in the beating heart of Beijing. Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing also has two restaurants and a rooftop bar with direct access to a large terraced garden on the top floor. The Café Zi is a relaxing environment that offers Asian cuisine daily, while the Mandarin Grill + Bar offers classic grill-style dishes. The MO Bar is instead a sophisticated lounge where innovative music and cocktails are the main ingredients for relaxing and fun evenings. "The SPA" wellness center offers various wellness and beauty treatments, as well as a 25-meter indoor pool with panoramic roof and a fitness center. Another unique feature of the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing is the quartz sand bed present in the SPA, used for the Gems Healing Power treatment, a combination of mystical energy and pressure released from the soft heated bed and able to oscillate to stimulate physical and mental relaxation. Perhaps Beijing is no longer what it once was, chaos and pollution make it less exotic, but the experience of staying in the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing remains fascinating.
