A tailored hospitality in Versilia
In the heart of Versilia, a few minutes from Forte dei Marmi and at the foot of the Apuan Alps, il Bottaccio is a structure obtained from a seventeenth-century oil mill. It is a relais that is managed with a great attention to the individual takes into account talents and aspirations, as well as particular needs and details. A tailor-made approach, developed by Elio D'anna, visionary and courageous entrepreneur, who wanted to recover this ancient structure in Tuscany to host a refined international clientele, conquering it with the preservation of the original elements, the ancient oil settling tanks and the large external wheel that moved the millstones. The guests who arrive in this green oasis thus discover that they are free to live the spaces according to their discretion, choosing to eat, retire and live the common spaces without any temporal dimension, exactly as they would do in their home. Il Bottaccio is led by the director Nino Mosca, who has also been working as a chef to guarantee the Italian tradition in his culinary proposals, the fresh food of the surroundings and an invisible component made of emotions and perceptions: between the sea and the Alps The Apuan flavours are available to all cooking lovers, especially those interested in attending the cooking school, with personalized and individual lessons, conducted under the guidance of trained and aware staff of the best seasonal specialties. To amplify the emotional value there are undoubtedly the places where you can decide to dine, such as the sumptuous Pool room, which combines water with a warm terracotta floor, wooden beams and Persian rugs, art selection curated by same owners, in an environment where, in addition to the body, the soul also feeds. To close the circle of this ambitious hospitality project there is the SPA, called Otzium, recalling the sweet not to do, a space where undressed by the roles afflicted by everyday life you can enjoy the luxury of creating the right contact with your own body. Massage, aromatherapy and chirotherapy are the reference points of a wellness path that finds its climax in the hammam.
