Good living and well-being

-

After the end of the renovation, since 2004, Pollenzo still houses the headquarters of the first University of Gastronomic Sciences in the world, the prestigious Wine Bank and the Hotel of the Agency. The latter, perhaps represents the sum of the founding values of Slow Food. The property is surrounded by a park in the romantic English garden style, originally designed by the architect Xavier Kurten. Here guests can experience a true full immersion in the greenery and refresh the body as well as the spirit, thanks to fitness equipment and paths that are divided between wonderful rose gardens, meadows, paths and that touch real attractions such as the Savoy icebox, the archaeological area Roman, the educational garden and the rich orchard of the University of Gastronomic Sciences. Moving on to the building that houses the hotel, what is enchanting is the careful choice of materials that recall, if not original, those of the Albertine era. The interiors were also designed to recall the tradition of the place, including welcoming terracotta floors and elegant wooden coffered ceilings, marble and refined Frau leather furnishings. 47 rooms and suites available to customers (another 23 can be found in the La Corte Albertina hotel, a three-star hotel built in a building not far from the Agency), each of which bears the name of a prestigious Barolo cru, Barbaresco or Roero. The spearhead of the structure, the Garden restaurant, which in addition to offering fresh ingredients purchased every day from local producers, products from the Slow Food Presidia and prestigious labels from the nearby Banca Del Vino, enchants for the splendid view offered by a glass patio that allows to immerse yourself in the suggestions of the royal park throughout the year. Of course, in this paradise of good living, a proposal for well-being at the height could not be missing. The "Slow Beauty" area offers sensory itineraries that include massages and treatments based on truffles, hazelnuts, lavender and saffron; a built-in Turkish bath and a Jacuzzi. The right preparation for a relaxing bath in the large heated swimming pool in front of the hotel, or perhaps before a hard session in the indoor gym equipped with the latest generation equipment. In short, the ideal choice for a holiday to be faced with due "slowness".
