A SPA that neutralizes energy impact
Stephan Mühlmann has long been committed to finding the right key to neutralize the energy impact of the Hotel Leitlhof in San Candido. "It all started when I realized that the costs of the SPA were unsustainable for our budgets," says Stephan, recalling the difficulties of the early days. wood, even if not the size we needed. " Today the cycle starts from a forest owned by the Mühlmann family, which is cleared of felled trees: trunk and branches are shredded to obtain the wood chips, to be dried with a system of hot air from the plant. With this system, the dry material, through a principle of gasification, is transformed into energy, with which the whole Leitlhof is fed. Located outside the suggestive town of San Candido, overlooking the majestic Monte Baranci, the Leitlhof is a well-kept hotel, for the design and selection of the materials used. From the reception, customers can breathe a positive atmosphere that helps to harmonize with nature and local traditions. Only mature and seasonal products are used in the kitchen, for a gastronomic proposal that is renewed and confirmed day after day. Own breeding, the herb garden, local suppliers are the key to pursuing the theme of simplicity that does not give up on quality. The same approach also distinguishes the work set up in the SPA, led by manager Julia Kraler. In the treatments, elements of local and peasant tradition are recovered to remedy the fatigue of muscles and joints: the bath in fossil oil is an experience designed to remove tensions, to be enjoyed as a couple in the imperial tub, while the massage Arnica oil reassures the body tired from motor activity. Inside the wellness area, you can choose between a 16-meter heated outdoor pool, classic saunas and saunas with birch and pine, Turkish bath and relaxation area. However, the hotel also guarantees guests a rich program of excursions, on foot, by bike or on skis during the winter season, to be combined with complete relaxation and healthy and regenerating nutrition.
