Etihad Airways. A new era of luxury travel

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is offering the world’s first multi-room private cabin in a passenger aircraft. We begin our journey of discovery in the Airbus A380 and its suites: The Residence and First Apartment. The Residence by Etihad™ consists of a living area, bathroom with shower and, for the first time in air transport, the service of a private butler. The role of the butler also encompasses the position of concierge and maître d’hôtel. A team of concierges supervises all aspects of the travel experience, including the booking of limousine transfer, check-in and personalized menu. With a size of 11.6 m2, The Residence is located on the upper deck and is designed for up to two guests. The living area is furnished with a reclining two-seater sofa in Poltrona Frau leather, two inlaid wooden dining tables and a chilled drinks cabinet. A touch screen unit controls the folding footstool, lighting, shading of the window, position of the seat and massage activation. A door and passageway separate the living area from the bedroom and bathroom with shower. The bedroom has a Poltrona Frau padded armchair, 2-metre double bed with custom mattress, side cupboard and wardrobe. The living room has a 32-inch LCD television, while the bedroom has a 27-inch LCD television. The communicating suite is equipped with broadband internet with data traffic capacity, live television, HDMI and USB port. The Residence has Wi-Fi and a Panasonic eX3 entertainment system with video and touch screen devices. The furnishings are in contemporary style with modern Arab design influences.
