Avion Luxury International Airport Magazine - - WATCHES -

Like a fairytale. So magical that haute horlogerie, from a dimension of artisan entrepreneurship, serves as a springboard for technological challenges aimed at attaining ethical values. An accurate chronograph, beautiful in its conceptual architecture, once on the wrist is transformed into a lifestyle. Why not, then, surrender to the persuasive notes of Nocturne by Chopin, and covet with impetuous eyes the blackened silver dial and black-tinted semi-transparent sapphire-crystal glass of A. Lange & Söhne’s “Grand Lange Moonphase“, “1Lumen" and “Zeitwerk Luminous“watches, which are able to store light energy to glow in the dark, with rhodium-plated gold hands and details on a luminous display with greenish glow. Also filled with light, with shimmering shades and a rare balance between themes and colours, are two models from Bulgari: “Lucea Giardino Paradiso“, which is delicately decorated with an exotic bird and luxuriant foliage on a blue mother-of-pearl dial, set with brilliant-cut diamonds and gems on the bezel and bracelet lugs, and hides a Tourbillon Calibre BVL 263 movement: examples of contemporary feminine elegance with minimal features and seductive forms, with pink cabochon-cut stone crown that brings a sparkle to the round case in a sophisticated game of light and dark, between dial, lugs and sparkling features; “Octo Finissimo Skeleton“, with the thinnest flying tourbillon in the world, very complicated skeleton movement, baseplate and bridges tinged in sensual black, 40 mm diameter stainless steel case finished in D.L.C. (Diamond Like Carbon) and 18 carat rose gold bezel, with an overall thickness of 5.37 mm is of certain appeal. The new “Cat’s Eye Majestic“by Girard-Perregaux enhances the sparkling oval shape, gracefully adorning the bezel of the vertical case with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds, with Tourbillon and Gold Bridge (and transparent base) around a mother-of-pearl dial in the gold rose or guilloche versions. The “leaf-shaped” hands indicate the passing of time on two styles of markers: gold Roman numerals (at 6 and 12 hours) for the bicolour in steel and pink gold, and diamonds for the other hours. Hublot - “Big Bang Tourbillon Power Reserve 5 Day High Jewellery Impact Bang“: behind this rather exaggerated name, lies the explosive force of the Big Bang. Set with 484 “fragments” of white baguette diamonds paving the dial, it features a cage with black HUB6016 calibre tourbillon movement inside, and white gold case totalling some 30.55 carats; 45 mm in diameter, a power reserve of 115 hours, and an explosive price tag make this a surprising gem. Exuberant in its subtle incisiveness, Jaeger-LeCoultre - “Rendez -Vous Tourbillon Enamel” is adorned with 254 diamonds on the bezel, lugs and crown, and has an 18-carat white gold case, which surrounds an attractive black dial enamelled with Arab numerals and floral hand at 6 o’clock,
