When adrenaline is sustainable
Le emozioni forti non sono una novità per Erik Stark, campione motonautico in svariate classi e pilota del Victory Team di Dubai. Del resto può essere difficile stupire con una barca qualcuno che di mestiere naviga a 100 nodi, con dietro le spalle motori potentissimi. Questa volta, però, non sono servite velocità estreme. Sono bastati 30 nodi per far divertire il fenomeno svedese, classe 1987, che vediamo nella foto in piedi con un sorriso smagliante. Probabilmente perché andare a quella velocità senza nessun rumore e senza sentire le onde è un’adrenalina diversa. Come quella di una barca a vela, forse, che se naviga a 20 nodi dà l’impressione a chi è a bordo di essere sul punto di decollare. E c’è solo una barca a motore che può dare sensazioni del genere in questo momento: Candela Seven. Questo sette metri è il progetto del cantiere Candela, svedese come Stark, che ha trasformato la barca elettrica in bestseller. Qual è il segreto? Essere veloce e divertente, semplice da governare anche con i foil (grazie a un sofisticatissimo software). E soprattutto ecosostenibile.

After all, it can be difficult for a boat to amaze someone used to sail at 100 knots by profession with very powerful engines behind him. This time, however, no extreme speeds were needed. 30 knots were enough to entertain the Swedish phenomenon, born in 1987, here pictured with a thumbs up and a dazzling smile in his face. Probably because sailing at this speed in total silence is a different adrenaline. Maybe like that of a sailboat which, when sailing at 20 knots, gives the feeling of being about to take off. There is only one motor boat capable of such sensations: the Candela Seven, a 7-meter boat built by the Swedish shipyard Candela which has transformed the electric boat into a bestseller.
