The evolution of weekenders
Dal grande gruppo francese Jeanneau arriva l’evoluzione del Merry Fisher 795, il Serie 2. Sempre frutto della matita dello studio Centowksi & Denert, il Merry Fisher protagonista di questo servizio è ormai un progetto maturo, pieno di sorprese e realizzato con grande praticità d’utilizzo per quella che è la sua vocazione principale: le crociere a corto-medio raggio, le uscite a pesca o con la famiglia. Nei mari europei, i Merry Fisher sono diventati un punto di riferimento in termini di concezione, design, performance e comfort a bordo. I Merry Fisher sono, infatti, barche marine, sicure e affidabili che si distinguono proprio per la loro grande duttilità che le rende, all’occorrenza, al 100% da crociera o al 100% da pesca. Il tutto nelle dimensioni estremamente contenute del modello della nostra prova, capace di avere soluzioni molto razionali in poco più di 7 metri.
Si parte dalla scelta della motorizzazione, un singolo e poderoso fuoribordo nella sua massima potenza consigliata di 250 HP, capace di spingere il Merry Fisher a un’ottima velocità di crociera. Grazie alla sua leggerezza, il 795 naviga già molto bene anche con potenze minori (150 minima e 200); la navigazione è decisamente confortevole grazie a una carena molto tradizionale a V profondo, a vantaggio di passaggio sull’onda e stabilità di rotta.
Benché il cockpit sia di dimensioni generose, retaggio dell’origine “oceanica” di questi scafi, la partizione delle aree esterne e interne risulta molto equilibrata, con gli spazi ben divisi: il pozzetto di poppa è stato concepito come una zona polivalente che, con poche trasformazioni, diventa una zona prendisole, una zona pranzo per almeno 4-5 persone – grazie al tavolino removibile – oppure un classico pozzetto pulito per pescare o qsesi vuole fare il bagno e circolare a bordo senza particolari ingombri. Sulla murata di poppa, così come sulla murata di destra, vi sono due comode aperture pensate per avere comodo accesso alla plancetta di poppa o per sbarcare dal fianco senza dover fare acrobazie.
Anche il passaggio verso prua è stato concepito in maniera molto intelligente: al posto di avere due passeggiate strette, i progettisti hanno optato per l’asimmetria, spostando tutto il blocco cabina verso sinistra; questo ha reso possibile di avere un camminamento piuttosto largo sul lato di dritta dell’imbarcazione, con movimenti sempre ben assistiti e sicuri, grazie alla presenza di numerosi tientibene sul tetto della cabina e a una battagliola di generose dimensioni. A prua troviamo una seconda zona prendisole, con un grande cuscino per due persone.
In coperta, dunque, molti spazi vivibili e sgombri, grazie ai numerosi gavoni dove riporre materiali e attrezzature, tutti ben recessati e nascosti. Quello che sorprende davvero a bordo del 795 è che non manca nulla. La cabina principale è luminosissima e ben organizzata, si affaccia sul pozzetto che, grazie a una porta scorrevole a tre sezioni, crea un effetto open space tra interni ed esterni. All’interno della grande cabina troviamo una zona living sulla sinistra, che ha la duplice funzione di tavolo per quattro persone – comode – o di letto matrimoniale, che si ottiene in pochi secondi abbassando il tavolo e aggiungendo il cuscino nella porzione centrale. Qui abbiamo anche una piccola unità frigo posta sotto la panca di poppa. Sulla dritta, invece, si trova il modulo cucina, completo di fuochi, lavello e diversi stipetti ben congeniati per riporre bene le cose e mantenerle al loro posto in navigazione. Sempre nel cockpit abbiamo
poi la postazione di guida sulla destra e una seduta per gli ospiti dal lato opposto. Anche in questo caso, la versione da noi visitata era naturalmente full optional: la seduta del pilota è molto comoda, posta in posizione elevata con il sedile regolabile in altezza e tutti gli strumenti e i comandi posti in maniera razionale sulla consolle. Da questa posizione si gode di un’ottima visuale e, nelle giornate più calde, si può guidare “con il braccio fuori” grazie alla presenza di un grande finestrino scorrevole posto sui vetri laterali. Proseguendo verso prua, troviamo il grande letto a V mentre, ben incastonato sotto la consolle di guida, un wc completo anche di doccia calda che ha nell’altezza interna, forse, uno dei suoi pochi punti negativi.
La barca esce dal cantiere molto ben equipaggiata e con un adeguato dimensionamento delle attrezzature di coperta. Il prezzo di listino parte dai 41.760 euro Iva inclusa – senza motore – con un discreto allestimento di base, per arrivare a 43.200 per la versione Legende. Tenuto conto che abbiamo a che fare con un’autentica piccola-grande barca in grado di soddisfare, sicuramente, le esigenze di una famiglia di quattro persone grazie alla sua straordinaria capacità di avere a bordo cucina, bagno due ampie zone prendisole, area da pranzo esterna e interna e fino a 4 posti letto… il tutto con una lunghezza scafo di poco superiore ai 7 metri. Il Merry Fisher 795 nella sua seconda evoluzione si conferma, dunque, un azzeccato weekender, ma solamente nel nome, visto che con la sua attrezzatura, autonomia e comodità, è in grado di allungare di molto il raggio di crociera, ben oltre l’uscita del fine settimana.

Designed by Centowksi & Denert, the boat we’re about to describe is a mature project, full of surprises and made with great practicality of use for what is its main vocation: short / medium range cruises, fishing trips or family holidays.
In the European seas, Merry Fisher have become a benchmark in terms of concept, design, performance and comfort on board. Merry Fisher are, in fact, seaworthy, safe and realible boats distinguished by a great flexibility that makes them, if necessary, 100% cruising or 100% fishing. All in the extremely small dimensions of our test model, capable of having very rational solutions within just over 7 meters.
Power comes from a single yet powerful 250HP engines that delivers an excellent cruising speed. Thanks to her lightness, the 795 sails very well even with lower powers (150 minimum and 200); navigation is very comfortable thanks to a very traditional V-hull that guarantees soft passages on the wave and extraordinary course stability.
Although the cockpit is generous in size, the partitioning of outdoor and indoor areas is very balanced, with well-divided spaces: the aft cockpit is designed as a multipurpose area which, with few transformations, can become a sunbathing area, a dining area for at least 4/5 people – thanks to the removable table – or a classic cockpit for fishing or enjoying on-board circulation without particular encumbrances. On the stern side as on the starboard side, there are two convenient openings designed to have convenient access to the stern platform or to disembark from the side with extreme ease.
The passage towards the bow was also conceived in a very clever way: instead of having two narrow walkways, the designers opted for asymmetry, moving the entire cabin block to the left; this made it possible to have a rather wide walkway on the starboard side of the boat, with
movements that are always well assisted and safe thanks to the presence of numerous handrails on the roof of the cabin and a generously sized handrail. In the bow, there is a second sunbathing area with a large cushion for two people. The deck offers many livable and uncluttered spaces thanks to the numerous lockers for storing materials and equipment, all well recessed and hidden.
What’s really surprising, on the 795, is that nothing is really missing. The master cabin is very bright and well-organized. It overlooks the cockpit which, thanks to a three-section sliding door, creates an open space effect between inside and outside. Inside the large cabin we find a living area on the left that has the dual function of a table for four people - comfortable - or a double bed, which is obtained in a few seconds by lowering the table and adding the pillow in the central portion. Here, there is even a small fridge unit placed under the aft bench. On the starboard side, there is the kitchen module, complete with burners, sink and several well-designed cabinets to store things well and keep them in their place while sailing. The cockpit houses the pilot seat on the right and a guest seat on the opposite side. Also in this case, the version we visited was naturally full optional: the driver’s seat is very comfortable, placed in an elevated position with the seat adjustable in height and all the instruments and controls placed rationally in the console. Visibility is great and the presence of a large sliding window makes this space surprisingly airy and bright. Continuing towards the bow, there is a large V-shaped bed in the bow area while, under the steering console, a toilet is equipped with a hot shower that has, perhaps, one of its few negative points in its interior height. The boat leaves the yard very well equipped and with an adequate sizing of deck equipment.
The list price starts from 41,760 euros, VAT included – without engine – with a decent basic set-up and reaches 43,200 euros for the Legende version. Please remember that we are dealing with an authentic small-large boat able to satisfy the needs of a 4-member family thanks to its extraordinary ability to have on board a galley, a head, two large sunbathing areas, two dinettes and up to 4 berths... all with a hull length of just over 7 meters. The new Merry Fisher 795 is therefore an excellent weekender which, thanks to its equipment, range and comfort, is able to greatly extend the cruising range well beyond the weekend outing.
