L’unità termica di questo fuoribordo – senza patente in Italia – della casa giapponese deriva dal DF60AV e ne riprende cubatura, 943 cc, e architettura, tre cilindri in linea, più leggera e compatta. Anche il piede è quello del DF60AV che fa la differenza nel permettere al motore di esprimere a pieno il suo potenziale e consente alla barca, anche se pesante, di planare rapidamente e di mantenere la velocità di planata, senza forzare. Rispetto al classico DF40A, il Suzuki DF40A ARI riesce a fornire una spinta superiore del 42% in marcia avanti, migliorando l’efficienza del fuoribordo in accelerazione del 12%.
