Una delle ultime novità, oltre ai braccialetti che funzionano da stacco batterie, è la capacità di autoricarica. In termine più tecnico è detta idrogenerazione.

Di fatto i fuoribordo per tender o pod Drive fino a 9 cavalli, cioè i motori ausiliari della barca, da oggi si possonno ricaricare da soli. Come? Quando la barca è spinta da un altro motore (o dal vento) o al traino a velocità comprese tra 4 e 10 nodi, il motore ricarica le batterie. A sfruttare questa tecnologia saranno le linee di prodotti Spirit e Navy di epropulsion: i nuovi modelli sono lo Spirit 1.0 EVO, Navy 3.0 EVO e Navy 6.0 EVO.
