Room Mate Giulia Hotel is a design accommodation experience in Milan, born from the collaboration between Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola and budget friendly hotel group Room Mate.

Giulia is located in a historical building that dates back to late 19th century a quick two-minute stride from the Piazza del Duomo and inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.

There are a total of 85 rooms that have been designed with a vintage touch and strong contrasting elements so guests feel like they are in a familiar setting.

The pink, green, and blue tones, the traditional materials— such as terracotta bricks from Lombardy—and the designer furniture are the main aspects of a unique space that has the unmistakable signature of Patricia Urquiola.

In the guest rooms, bold armchairs by design brands Kartell and Moroso sit alongside lamps by Flos and Oluce, while grid patterned Kyadrat curtains add visual texture.

From Thursday to Saturday in reception you will find a table with everything needed to make international cocktails. We're in Milan, obviously the Aperol Spritz is never missing.

Downstairs, an eclectic mishmash of furnishings and colour combinations make up the lobby space, which is also lined with artwork commissioned by local creatives. At weekends, the large variety of cold meats is complemented with bresaola, salmon, four types of cheese, bread with tomato, vegetables and the daily special called "the chef's fantasy“.
