«I have no doubt: the most beautiful city hotel in the world is the Four Seasons in Florence. Here, “standard” means excellence, in every respect: first of all for the location, in the heart of a metropolis yet immersed in the tranquility of a historic garden, then for the beauty and prestige of the Renaissance building, the former Palazzo della Gherardesca , for the care of the service and for the restaurant. The cuisine is represented by chef Vito Mollica, interpreter of excellent contemporary Italian dishes, with hints from the South, faithful to his Lucan origins, for a result of great elegance and substance.

Looking abroad, I love going on holiday to La Villa des Orangers in Marrakech, located between the Royal Palace and Jemaa El Fna. Nothing luxurious in the strict sense or excessively Arabic, even if evidently contextualized, but always of extreme comfort and pleasantness overall, starting from the services offered. It is always worth coming back, for the harmony this place conveys.

In Paris, my regular stop is at the Plaza Athénée (1 e 2), which I’ve been attending for years. I can say that I can’t go to Paris without staying at the Plaza! There is everything, at the highest level imaginable, from the Spa to the cuisine by Alain Ducasse, in addition to a classic decor but with no frills, with a beautiful inner courtyard and a very pleasant gallery where you can stop and have tea or an aperitif, besides a very metropolitan, worldly and well-attended bar.

Funny and with many coups de théâtre: this is the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, an incredible building, composed of three skyscrapers joined at the top, on the 57th floor, by the Sky Park, topped by a pool over 150 meters long. Design is certainly the characterizing element of the structure, but this is also a real paradise for gourmets, offering an infinite number of restaurants for every style of cuisine, from the local to French and Italian one. The risk is that you will never leave the hotel, from check-in to check-out».
