Adoro The Temple House, in centro, e i dintorni.
Chengdu is an old soul with a warm heart, where youthful Pop Art meets regional culture. I love The Temple House, in the hub of the city, and strolling around the neighbouring streets. I’d spend an afternoon at the Zhi Art Museum, followed by dinner at traditional restaurant The Bridge, while the nightlife scene means craftbeer bars and super-hip clubs with Sichuan opera shows. Leaving town to drive north-west, I’d be at the foot of Qing Cheng mountain, staying at the only Six Senses hotel in China, with its eco-friendly landscaping. Further south, Guangzhou is also a perfect weekend break. After taking in the views at the new Rosewood Guangzhou, I’d finish the night in Hope & Sesame speakeasy, drinking delicious bourbon with crazy croissant syrup and Nutella bitters.
