Design at the cinema
An elegant apartment in Milan has become a remarkable set for a new short art film made in collaboration with Elle Decor. Youthful talents and well- known faces of the cinema, under the artistic supervision of Silvio Soldini
‘ Cena per Due’( Dinner for Two). Milan, an interior, evening. We’re on the set of the new short art film from OffiCine, the workshop created from the collaboration between IED- Istituto Europeo di Design, and Anteo. The project links up youthful talents with cinema professionals and companies who commission short films created specifically for them. The objective is to support the career paths of aspiring film directors, screenwriters and cinematographers. On this occasion, the short movie written by Tommaso Bianchi and Andrea Paracchini, directed by Niccolò Valentino and made in collaboration with Elle Decor, develops around the theme of conviviality, starring the new Atoll sofa designed by Antonio Citterio for B& B Italia. The design brand shared the initial concept with the team, as well as all the phases of creation, from the script- writing to the filming and the editing. The stunning location is the house at no. 1 Piazza Mirabello, an architectural masterpiece by Jan Andrea Battistoni. The set lighting illuminates the elegant apartment on the third floor, designed by architect Luciano Giorgi for his friend Michele Stacchini, and chosen by B& B Italia together with Elle Decor.
