I was living in Los Angeles, renting a room in the home of a sweet lady called Mindy who later became a friend. We spent our days gardening, knitting and playing chess; all things I had never done before. I’m a romantic. I dreamed all the time to keep my mind stable. Two months into lockdown, I decided to fly to Italy to be with my family and friends with whom I grew up in a small village by the seaside. The collage is a collection of photos of Melanie, who I have taken many pictures of over the last few years. I missed my friend during this quarantine so I decided to dedicate a collection to her, using these archived images shot in Aldgate East, London and Brooklyn, New York
