The mighty papal museums and their dazzling collections, Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel are always packed (see Sistine Chapel below) – book tickets online ahead of time. For minimum hassle, aim to arrive one hour before closing, avoid Fri, Sat, Mon and try to visit during Nov, Jan or Feb.
