This new 70 metre by Nauta Yachts is now almost due for tank testing. “Moonflower” has been requested by an expert owner and should be delivered between 2021 and 2022 by the Italian shipyard commissioned to build it. The interior and exterior project design is work of Nauta Yachts design team underscoring the brand’s classic style which is elegant and measurably sober throughout the five decks ( a sixth is below the lower deck). An entire deck which has been envisaged for the owner will comprise an 87 square metre suite, a private saloon/living zone with a surface area of 48 square metres and a 100 square metres of terrace space. Outdoor spaces have clearly been privileged.there’s a sun deck of 143 square metres with a 2.2x2.0 metre Jacuzzi in addition to a beach club area of 117 square metres. It is made up of two lateral wing shaped openings along the stern’s sides for which there’s a patent pending and a central opening transom as well. Next to the beach club area there’s also room for a hammam, sauna, and a ‘thrilling’ shower experience.
Among some of the other features there’s a lovely internal connecting lounge situated full beam across with a fireplace, a large bar with “Nemo” type window like ports looking onto a sea water, 2.5x5.00 metre pool below waterline which shuts off out of sight when not in use. In addition to a lovely, spectacular winding stairway “Moonflower” possesses a lift and a helipad en-suite of the owner’s quarters. The power house envisaged is a diesel –electric one made up of two 1.500 KW units installed directly onto the drive shafts. These can be powered up with up to five generator sets. At full power mode the yacht should deliver a forecasted top speed of 16 knots while when cruising slower at econ. speed it should be possible to cover over 6,000 nautical miles.
