Diana Yacht Design Beyond
Following Legend’s notable success - the only yacht destined to charter parties with Ice Class certification, Diana Yacht Design has recently presented Beyond an explorer model devised to reach the remotest areas.
The first glimpses released by Diana Yachts Design of Beyond designed by Young Design 2017 award winner Casper Marelis translate into a 60 metre steel and aluminium hull conceived to explore both the remotest places but the sky as well. In fact this explorer model features deck space dedicated to a sophisticated telescope installed onto a gyro stabiliser through which to observe stars without having to do away with any of the extra equipment and gear necessary to carry out scientific studies, normally proper to explorer vessels such as small submarines, dinghies, certified copter- pads and several tenders. The project design offers plenty of diverse solutions and options not only below deck concerning layout and decor mainly but also outside on deck. Despite its raison d’etre which is to explore, Beyond is also
a cruiser yacht endowed with comfort enhancing solutions that are typically required when cruising for long consecutive periods without calling in to ports, and adequate spaces in which to exercise, work out and so on which can translate into an equipped gym, wellness area, video entertainment theatre, technical areas such as laundry, adequate freezers, refrigerators and much more. The standard interior layout envisages seven guest cabins with up to fourteen beds divided up as follows: an owner/master cabin, four doubles and two twins. The crew ‘s quarters are designed to host up to seventeen including the captain’s cabin which is situated next to the helm controls station.
