Young people and sports in ancient times. Twentyfive findings coming from the very rich warehouses in the Museum, are being exhibited after more than 20 years along with some works coming from the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Amongst them, there will be some panathenaic amphoras, vases decorated with images of various sports disciplines, portraits of the Vesuvian cities, marble statues of athletes and inscriptions from Ancient Naples. Inside the Museum, there will be panels exposed with insights into sports in ancient times. Giovani e sport nell’antichità. In esposizione venticinque reperti provenienti dai ricchissimi depositi del Museo e non esposti da oltre vent’anni, insieme ad alcune opere del Getty Museum di Los Angeles. Tra essi vi saranno anfore paratenaiche, vasi con raffigurazioni delle diverse discipline sportive, affreschi delle città vesuviane, sculture in marmo di atleti ed iscrizioni provenienti da Napoli antica. All’interno del Museo saranno esposti dei pannelli che approfondiranno alcune tematiche legate allo sport nell’antichità.
