Visiting Villa Rosebery is a true joy for Botany lovers. Since 1957 it’s annexed in the Italian President of Republic real estate. You can find a very well maintained and crowded from great species garden that descends from Posillipo hill towards the seaside for about 40 meters. Approximately 66 thousands square meters large, rich of Mediterranean scrub mostly rosemary but also laurel, boxwoods, myrtles, mastics and phillyreas.
Among bushes and natural borders many palms stand out: washintons, phoenix, chamaerops and even wonderful cycas revoluta. You’ll be left breathless gazing at gigantic examples of Sterlizia with their big spout on the verge of spreading. In 2016 the President of Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella won the GreenCare Special Award for increasing the number of opening days of the garden assigning it to FAI volunteers.
Nel 2016 al Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella è stato assegnato il Premio Speciale GreenCare per aver aumentato i giorni di visita del giardino, affidandone le visite ai volontari del FAI.

Blackbirds, sparrows and seagulls populate this place looking after some food beneath multicolored camellias. Interiors of the buildings are very well kept and we have much admired the Guesthouse terrace with white and blu ceramic tiles (“riggiole”) that perfectly stands beneath the green garden and the blue sea.
