“Here, where the sea sparkles and the wind blows, on an old terrace before Sorrento’s bay”

In the lyrics of “Caruso”, a masterpiece written by the singer Lucio Dalla, who was inspired by the terraces facing the sea in one of the most ancient hotels in this well-known city, lies all the magic of Sorrento. Every visitor is enchanted and charmed by this city.

It’s easy to stay in Sorrento, you can choose among several Bed & Breakfast, so cozy and familiar, or one of the hotels in the Old Town.

The ideal journey starts in Piazza Tasso: you can have a drink in one of the coolest bars at sunset and then take a stroll through the city center, among the many shops that sell

typical lemon based products, from candies to Limoncello and facial soap bars. There are several artisans shops too, selling custom made purses and sandals and Sorrento’s inlaid wood works, an ancient tradition for local artisans.

You’ll be astonished by the sight of the Cloister of San Francesco and the church where many tourists decide to celebrate their wedding. Here is also the public garden with a perfect view of the bay and the Marina Grande Harbour, where the movie “Bread, Love and Dreams” was set during the 50’s starring Italian movie icons Sophia Loren and Vittorio De Sica, and their worldwide famous “mambo italiano”.
