During the General Assembly of ACI Europe – Airports Council International Europe – held in Cyprus at the end of June, Naples International Airport has signed the Resolution “Net ZERO Carbon Emissions 2050” which engages European airports to zero the emissions of CO2 deriving from airport activities by 2050. Capodichino Airport has
always been attentive to eco– sustainability. Gesac, the company that manages the Neapolitan airport, is listed amongst the 40 Airport management companies that have signed this fundamental agreement.
The 194 airports run by the companies that signed the agreement will commit to reducing electric energy consumption derived from fossil fuels and to using renewable energy sources as much as possible, in order to promote at the same time the development of new technologies to absorb carbon dioxide, consistent with the eco – sustainability projects made by the European Union for the year 2050.
