Malcolm McKeon has managed to slot a comfortable fly into his new 72.5-metre sloop without compromising its slender lines and chic profile. He did slyly too, positioning the fly much further aft than is normally the case and extending it to cover the cockpit. He also gave the deckhouse a curved sweep of glass forward to soften it. The 75 flybridge even has fold-down bulwarks on either side of the cockpit which create large balconies and a completely open arrangement at anchor. The same applies to the beach club which opens out to form a water-skimming platform. The tender well converts to a large foredeck exercise pool, integrated with a recessed seating area. A lifting keel, square top main sail and a jib and genoa locker on the deck all hint at the fact that the sloop does not skimp in the performance stakes either.

Nel suo nuovo progetto lungo 72,5 metri armato a sloop, Malcolm Mc Keon è riuscito a inserire un comodo ponte fly senza compromettere le linee slanciate e l’eleganza del profilo grazie a un escamotage: ha posizionato il fly molto più a poppa di quanto non si faccia normalmente, lo ha allungato fino a coprire il pozzetto e ha previsto per la deck house pareti laterali in vetro curvo che addolcissero le forme. E non è tutto. Il 75 flybridge dispone anche di murate laterali che si aprono a formare grandi terrazze quando lo yacht è all’ancora. Stesso discorso anche per la murata del beach club (perché è ovvio, il beach club su uno scafo del genere non può mancare, e per di più ha l’accesso diretto alla suite armatoriale) che si abbassa fino a diventare una piattaforma a pelo d’acqua. A prua, l’alloggio del tender diventa una piscina con tanto di area relax. Le performance, inutile dirlo, saranno anch’esse estremamente interessanti grazie alla lifting keel, alla randa square top e all’alloggio per fiocco e genoa posizionato sul ponte.
