Royal Huisman

Royal Huisman ha dato qualche anticipazione sul progetto Lotus che verrà presentato ufficialmente al Monaco Yacht Show. Si tratta in verità di due progetti: uno a vela e uno a motore, accomunati da un’unica filosofia: superare il gap che da sempre vede vela e motore come due antagonisti. Il design è affidato a ThirtyC design studio e a Dyskra Naval Architects. Per quel che concerne la vela si tratterà di un progetto da 88 metri con Dyna Rig, mentre il motore sarà uno shadow yacht da 70 metri. Ma attenzione, non si tratta di due barche distinte, ma di un’unica proposta pensata per un armatore che affronta la vita senza compromessi e desidera una barca a vela di altissimo livello tecnologico abbinata alla comodità di uno shadow vessel sempre a disposizione. Al momento lo scafo a motore è in costruzione negli scali del cantiere, mentre per quello a vela Dyskra Naval Architects si sta occupando della progettazione e dell’ingegnerizzazione del piano velico che sarà ispirato all’easy sailing. Royal Huisman has let slip a few hints regarding the Lotus project which it will officially present at Monaco. The project spans two craft, one sailing and the other motor- powered, both aiming to bridge the gap between the two worlds. The design was placed in the capable hands of the ThirtyC design studio and Dyskra Naval Architects. The sailer is an 88- metre with a Dyna Rig while the motor craft will be a 70- metre shadow yacht. These are not two distinct models but a single project crafted for the kind of uncompromising owner that wants an ultra- high tech sailer combined with the comfort of an ever- available shadow vessel. The motoryacht is currently in build on the yard’s slips, while Dyskra Naval Architects is designing and engineering the easy sailing sail plan for the mother ship.
