Presentato al Boot Düsseldorf 2023 il nuovo Grand Soleil 65 è disponibile nelle due versioni Performance e Long Cruise. La prima è destinata a quegli armatori che desiderano un design più sportivo e prestazioni più spinte; il secondo agli amanti del mondo bluewater e delle crociere tranquille. Entrambi i modelli hanno la stessa carena e rappresentano la sintesi perfetta tra prestazioni, stile ed innovazione. Lo scafo, realizzato con infusione di resina vinilestere in fibra di vetro biassiale e tessuti di carbonio unidirezionali, garantisce una struttura leggera, rigida e robusta. Le strutture longitudinali e trasversali, così come le aree portanti dello scafo, sono laminate in vetroresina ed irrigidite con rinforzi in carbonio unidirezionale. I processi costruttivi ed i sistemi di bordo utilizzati per il Grand Soleil 65 sono testati e certificati secondo i più severi controlli di qualità. L’architettura navale del Grand Soleil 65, firmata Matteo Polli, punta a raggiungere gli stessi obiettivi del Grand Soleil 72, declinati su dimensioni minori. In merito al piano velico, l’albero è in posizione arretrata per massimizzare la dimensione del triangolo di prua. La distribuzione delle superfici delle vele garantisce un’eccellente efficienza aerodinamica, pur mantenendo il baricentro relativamente basso, riducendo così lo sbandamento. Il primo modello del Grand Soleil 65, in versione Long Cruise, debutterà in anteprima mondiale al Cannes Yachting Festival 2023.

Unveiled at the 2023 Düsseldorf Boot, the new Grand Soleil 65 i comes in a choice of Performance and Long Cruise versions. The former is aimed at owners looking for a sportier design with edgier performance, while the latter is perfect for bluewater and low-key cruising fans. That said both options share a hull and offer the same effortless melding of style, performance and innovation. The hull is made from polyester-based vinylester and composites for a light, stiff, robust result. The longitudinal and transverse structures as well as the weight-bearing areas of the hull are laminated in fiberglass and stiffened with unidirectional carbon reinforcements. The construction process and onboard systems used for the Grand Soleil 65 were all tested and certified using the strictest quality controls. The Grand Soleil 65’s naval architecture is by Matteo Polli who had the same goals in mind as for the Grand Soleil 72, despite being smaller. In terms of the sail plan, the mast has been pulled back to maximise the size of the foretriangle. The sail distribution guarantees superb aerodynamic efficiency whilst still keeping a relatively low centre of gravity, thereby reducing heeling. The first Grand Soleil 65, a Long Cruise, will make her world debut at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival.
