Terza tappa, Maribor, centro universitario e metropoli della Stiria slovena, è la seconda città più grande del Paese. Architettonicamente affascinante nel suo stile medievale, pittoresca ed ospitale: negli ultimi anni si è presa lo scettro di centro della cultura, dove vengono organizzati numerosi festival, manifestazioni sportive ed eventi. della Vite Antica: nel centro storico, da oltre 450 anni cresce il vitigno Žametovka, il più longevo al mondo, tanto che è entrato nel Guinness dei primati come la vite più antica in assoluto ancora in grado di produrre i suoi frutti pregiati. Oggi all’interno dell’edificio della vite è stata creata una sala degustazione dove assaggiare i vini del posto. Per il pranzo, ottimo il ristorante Vernik, una tipica trattoria slovena che cucina piatti tradizionali davvero gustosi. A pochi chilometri dalla città, nel cuore della Maribor Wine Road, c’è l’indirizzo di un alloggio da provare: il Nesting Resort, un glamping di lusso immerso nella natura incontaminata con ‘nidi’ Third stop, Maribor, the university center and metropolis of Slovenian Styria, is the second largest city in the country. Architecturally fascinating in its medieval style, picturesque and hospitable: in recent years it has taken the sceptre of center of culture, where numerous festivals, sporting events and happenings are organized. A visit to the House of the Ancient Vine is not to be missed: for more than 450 years the Žametovka vine, the longest-lived vine in the world, has been growing in the historic center, so much so that it has entered the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest vine ever still producing its prized fruit. Today a tasting room has been created inside the vine building where local wines can be tasted. For lunch, the Vernik restaurant, a typical Slovenian tavern that cooks really tasty traditional dishes, is excellent.
