RAMI KADI
rami-kadi.com - @ramikadi since 2011
How did you start in the fashion business? Rami Kadi: “Having graduated from ESMOD Beirut, I continued my path with Rabih Kayrouz. Soon after my arrival, the Starch Foundation selected him to showcase his first collection. My creations were immediately snapped up and I earned the trust of the most demanding clients.” What is
unique about your brand? “I use new technologies in a couture way. Simple cuts are combined with highly sophisticated techniques.” Whom do
you design for? “A woman who stands out with her elegance and grace. She turns heads wherever she goes, leaving a trail of seduction and mystery behind her. She breathes life into the garment she is wearing.” Where do you produce
your collections? “Everything is made in-house
in Lebanon.” How many pieces do you sell in Lebanon and how many abroad? “We sell 30% in Lebanon, and the rest abroad.” How do you promote your brand using social media? “Celebrities and bloggers who wear my dresses tag the brand and get press coverage. But we also interact with our followers through Snapchat, so they’re part of our everyday lives.”
Have you collaborated with other brands? “Recently we worked with Chopard, designing a few dresses inspired by their latest high jewellery collection.” You are Lebanese-American. How are you influenced by your home countries? “My diverging origins fuse flavours from the East and the West, exuding a mix of freedom, emancipation and traditional warmth.”
