David Beckham on KIM JONES for DIOR HOMME

I was so happy when I f irst heard Kim was heading to Dior Homme - he is just such an i ncredible t alent.

Kim and I f irst met through a mutual best friend over 10 years ago now, and we have become good friends since. So, I’m very proud to see my friend who really is an original and innovative British creative talent, leading the way in menswear at a global luxury brand like Dior. It’s amazing. And he deserves it.

What’s so special about Kim’s work? Well, speaking personally, Kim creates the t rends that I can wear - and want to wear.

He was one of the f irst designers to really elevate sportswear in a luxury way - and as we all now know, that has since become the way that modern men like to dress. I loved the collaboration he did with Supreme. It was genius and really connected with youth culture. I l oved it, so did my kids.

The thing is that Kim’s designs often ref lect what I want when it comes to putting together an outf it - I always want to look classic but feel comfortable at the same t ime.

I think that’s something that Kim really understands and why his designs make me feel good. I really believe i n Kim’s t alent - I know he will t ake his unique British approach and mix that with heritage of Dior Homme - and create something really special.

But on top of that I’m just really excited for Kim because I know he’s really excited too! Kim has an incredible support network in London - he has everyone che eringhim on–ab itlikea football match Iguess.

I don’t know what he will do from the first show but I can’t wait to see. And by the time you read this I am sure we will a ll be raving about it.
