Lao Tze said that “A good traveler has no f ixed plans and is not intent on arriving.” And the new MINI FASHION project is dedicated precisely to those who enjoy the route and consider going about town as a real journey, because the inward one is the most important of all. On the occasion of Pitti Uomo 94, setto runatForte­zz ada Basso, in Florence, MINI FASHIONpr es ents the FIELD NOTES Capsule Collection, its latest collaborat­ion with up-andcoming design talents. MINI FASHION is a MINI brand initiative dedicated to urban travelers capable of challengin­g the journey’s expectatio­ns, choosing new perspectiv­es that inspire the search for new paths. The underlying idea of the project, conceived in col laboration with The Woolmark Company, is to “go beyond boundaries”, transform onesel f and improve one’s inner reality taking up challengin­g new routes. MINI FASHION and The Woolmark Company invited six internatio­nal emerging designers to interpret the theme of the journey turning their “on the move” experience­s into fashion items.Th ed esignersfe­atur ed inthe MINI FASHIONFIE­LDNOT ES Cap- sule Collection hail from all over the world and represent four dif ferent and intriguing outlooks of the new-gen fashion designer contempora­ry scene: British designer Liam Hodges, in spir ed byBrits tre etwear, punk andsubcult­ur es, love sa strong, meaningful silhouette andismuc hl oved byt ho sew ho steer clear of ordinarine­ss and conformism every single day; Shanghai-based brand Staf fonly of designer duo Shimo Zhou and Une Yea design collection­s in which sharp concepts meet innovative materials and cutting-edge color palettes; PH5, an innovative knitwear range founded in New York by Wei Lin and designed by Mijia Zhang, uplifts with a playful and color ful touch highly innovative garments; Rike Feurstein, the artist-designer who from her Berlin studios creates accessorie­s, hats and objects featuring surprising textures and surrealist details, accented by unexpected color combinatio­ns.
