FERRAGAMO X JOHN GILBERT GOLF SHOE 1928 REMADE

In 1928 Salvatore Ferragamo created the ‘Golf ’ model for his fr iend John Gilbert, a two-sided derby in blue suede and brown calfskin with regular perforations along the edges. Exactly 90 years later, Ferragamo reworked this iconic shoe in conjunction with Pitti Immagine Uomo 2018. The new ‘Golf ’ is par t of the ‘Ferragamo’s Creations’ line, which br ings back some of the shoes that ha ve made the brand’s history, drawing on the extraordinary archive of fifteen thousand models preserved in the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence. Now as then, the craftsmanship is what distinguishes the shoes of the Florentine brand, which are handcrafted by expert shoemakers following 260 steps.
