È l’appuntamento più atteso a livello internazionale per gli operatori del settore sposa e cerimonia. La Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, che ogni anno si arricchisce di interessanti novità, ancora una volta si rivela il palcoscenico principale per più di 350 brand. Dal 23 al 26 aprile sarà un susseguirsi di sfilate, mentre dal 26 al 28 aprile andrà in scena la Professional Trade Fair, punto di incontro di espositori e clienti. BBFW, Ester Maria Laruccia, fa il punto della manifestazione. Quali saranno le novità della prossima edizione? «Saranno tante... A cominciare dai nuovi designer che prenderanno parte alla Fiera fino agli eventi che celebreremo in città. La BBFW sarà nuovamente un evento di stampo internazionale; il palcoscenico perfetto in grado di soddisfare le aspettative di tutti gli operatori del settore rompendo gli stereotipi dell’universo ‘bridal’».
Quali sono i paesi che acquistano maggiormente? «BBFW è l’evento leader mondiale per quel che riguarda la rappresentatività del mercato. Basti pensare che la percentuale di marchi stranieri supera il 70%. Gli europei, per affinità culturale e vicinanza geografica, hanno un peso importante e gli italiani in particolare rappresentano il volume più alto di buyers del nostro continente. Da sottolineare l’alta partecipazione di compratori che giungono dagli Stati Uniti, dal Sud America e dall’Asia, mercati fondamentali nella nostra strategia di internazionalizzazione». Quali saranno le tendenze moda? «Posso anticipare che il bianco e le sue diverse tonalità continuano a essere un must. Il tulle e lo strascico sembrano essere tornati alla ribalta, mentre continueremo a vedere anche tocchi di colore e fiori; e ancora cappe, scollature vertiginose, maniche fantasia, originali jumpsuits e gonne pantalone. Un’esplosione di stili e dettagli che rendono la moda bridal variegata e l’abito da sposa una vera e propria opera d’arte. Verranno presentati più di 25.000 abiti da sposa ed evening wear e circa 30 designers mostreranno le loro collezioni sulla nostra passerella. Vi aspettiamo per sorprendervi». Giulia Borgazzi
It is the most anticipated event internationally for professionals in the bridal and formalwear industry. Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, which boasts interesting innovations every year, is once again an important showcase for more than 350 brands. From April 23-26, there will be a series of fashion shows while the professional trade fair, where exhibitors and clients come together, will take place from April 26-28. To learn more about the show, we spoke to the director of BBFW, Ester Maria Laruccia. What is new for this upcoming edition? “Many things…starting with the new designers who will take part in the show, all the way to events that we will hold in the city. BBFW will once again be a truly international event, the perfect showcase to satisfy the expectations of all industry professionals, and breaking from the ‘bridal’ stereotypes.” What countries are the biggest buyers? “BBFW is the leading event in the world in terms of representing the market. One need only look to the fact that the percentage of foreign brands is more than 70%. Europe, plays an important role thanks to the cultural similarities and geographic proximity. Italians especially represent the greatest number of buyers from our continent. I would also like to point out the great number of buyers from the United States, South America and Asia, markets that are fundamental to our internationalization strategy.” What are the fashion trends? “I can say that white and the various shades of it continue to be a must-have. Tulle and trains seem to have made a comeback, and we will continue to see touches of color and flowers. Then there are capes, plunging necklines, fantastical sleeves, original jumpsuits and skirt trousers. An explosion of styles and details that make for a lot of variety in the bridal world, and the wedding dress is a true work of art. More than 25,000 bridal gowns and pieces of evening wear will be presented along with about 30 designers who will show their collections during the fashion shows. We can’t wait to surprise you all.”
