Visibility and distribution are the two fundamental elements of a successful career in fashion. These are also the same principles behind Fidenza Village’s initiative aimed at supporting the new generation of creatives, with The Bicester Village Shopping Collection. Fidenza Village has shared this commitment to creatives with Vogue Talents since the very beginning of the scouting project. In fact, the first mentorship programme started back in 2010, allowing a selection of international brands to see their creations on display in the shop windows of one of the boutiques in a Village that has become a true shopping mecca. Edition after edition, the collaboration has helped interpret the latest trends, such as in the case of The Creative Spot, the pop-up boutique now in its third incarnation. This past spring, it allowed designers from all over the world to sell their sustainable clothing, accessories and jewellery collections to a public of fashion aficionados. Desirée Bollier, Chair and Chief Merchant of The Bicester Village Shopping Collection, explains: “The Creative Spot at Fidenza Village has, over the years, celebrated some of the most exciting emerging talents from all corners of the world. These forms are part of our commitment to support fashion’s rising stars, through a bespoke programme of business mentorship and commercial opportunities. Such a programme is provided across The Bicester Village Shopping Collection, aimed to help these designers realise their creative and commercial potential. We consider it our responsibility to nurture the talents who today are shaping fashion for tomorrow.” Sara Sozzani Maino, deputy editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia and head of Vogue Talents, adds: “Supporting the new generation of talents is fundamental, also because of their commitment to and great awareness of social issues. The relationship we’ve had over many years with The Bicester Village Shopping Collection is very important for the future of these talents who are given crucial, one-of-a-kind visibility.”
