La prossima edizione della Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2020, il più prestigioso appuntamento internazionale per il settore moda sposa e cerimonia, in scena dal 20 al 26 aprile, viene presentata attraverso il manifesto ‘Join the Dream’. «Valori come diversità, integrazione e sostenibilità fanno parte del dna di VBBFW; nel nostro ‘manifesto’ lanciamo un messaggio sull’impegno condiviso nel promuoverli e nel proporre un nuovo paradigma del concetto moda − dichiara Estermaria Laruccia, direttrice della manifestazione − Crediamo nel potere della bellezza, che si può e si deve raggiungere attraverso una solida congiunzione tra etica ed estetica; per creare un mondo non solo più bello, ma anche migliore. VBBFW promuove, inoltre, la sostenibilità sia dal punto di vista ‘green’, sia in modo trasversale, abbracciando le ultime soluzioni tecnologiche, i nuovi sistemi di efficienza gestionale e amministrativa, il rispetto e la tutela dell’ambiente, la valorizzazione delle risorse umane». La manifestazione, che nel 2020 festeggerà 30 anni, ha in serbo molte novità volte a valorizzare e sostenere il design e la moda a 360 gradi, così come la fantasia stilistica e i brand emergenti. «La creatività è un’espressione dell’intelligenza, è una delle forze trasformatrici più potenti. Oggigiorno nella moda si sta andando al di là del puro design, al fine di operare in modo più responsabile e sostenibile. In tal senso i giovani designer sono i benvenuti; appoggiamo e sponsorizziamo la loro partecipazione in quanto siamo alla costante ricerca di proposte nuove, fresche e, perché no, anche sorprendenti». La VBBFW negli ultimi anni ha raggiunto traguardi notevoli e le presenze internazionali di stilisti e aziende sono arrivate al 74% del totale. Ciò che rende però ancora più orgogliosa Estermaria Laruccia è essere riuscita a creare un palcoscenico dove si incontrano culture e tendenze diverse. Un luogo in cui, oltre a trovare numerose opportunità di business, tutti i professionisti del settore possono confrontarsi e prendere ispirazione per nuovi progetti.
The upcoming edition of Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2020, the most prestigious international event for the bridal and formalwear industry, is to take place from April 20-26 and will focus on the theme of ‘Join the Dream’. “Values like diversity, integration and sustainability are part of the dna of VBBFW; with this ‘manifesto’ we are sending a message about our shared commitment to promoting and offering a new paradigm in fashion,” says Estermaria Laruccia, the show’s director. “We believe in the power of beauty that can and should be achieved by bringing together ethics and aesthetics in a solid way; creating a world that is not only beautiful but better. Furthermore, VBBFW promotes sustainability from a ‘green’ perspective as well as across the board, embracing the latest technological solutions, new systems for management and administrative efficiency, respecting and protecting the environment, and making the most of human resources.” The show, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2020, has many new things in store meant to promote and support design and fashion all the way round. “Creativity is an expression of intelligence. It is one of the most powerful means of transformation. Today, fashion is going beyond pure design, working in a more responsible and sustainable way. To that end, young designers are always welcome. We support and sponsor their participation as we are constantly looking for new, fresh, and even surprising pieces.” In the last few years, VBBFW has achieved a number of important milestones, with 74% of designers and companies coming from abroad. What makes Estermaria Laruccia especially proud is that the show has managed to become a place where different cultures and trends come together.
