Prossimo appuntamento, Milano 2020. Da segnare subito in agenda!
Planning the many different facets of a wedding, making it an unforgettable event that truly reflects the bride and groom. This is where wedding planners come into play. Theirs is a fundamental role and they must have the ability to relate to others and, most of all, have knowledge of the industry in order to offer up the latest trends and most innovative ideas. “Trends for Events,” an international conference organized by Diana Da Ros, a wedding & event planner, was created with this in mind. The second edition, which took place in November at the Villa Palazzo Aminta Hotel Beauty & Spa, in Stresa, Italy (on Lake Maggiore) included a wide variety of initiatives, such as conferences, master classes and parties for professionals from the wedding & events industries. Famous international names took part, including Jean Charles Vaneck, and there were examples of success stories like Sergio Rossi’s new Bridal collection. Designer Chiara Vitale from Atelier Kore spoke about bespoke Italian craftsmanship. The master class involved theory and practice and was held by photographer Diego Taroni, owner of Photo27, and graphic designer Stefania Poggi, owner of Loveday, who talked about the latest trends and innovations. There was a hands-on session held by flower designer Alberto Menegardi focused on creating a “moon” centerpiece for a table, with the piece made from recycled materials. Diana Da Ros presented new locations and the latest trends for events with a focus on art and fashion. Some of these trends include taking inspiration from the famous moon landing in the late 1960s; the theatrical elegance of ancient Egypt; ethical beauty with a focus on the environment and recycling; luxurious Christmas themes with the most elegant version of the holiday; fun, color, and pop art; and vintage chic that looks back to the fantastic 1950s. The gala evening included some exclusive surprises, allowing guests to touch a real piece of the moon as well as admire a sparkling Bug Star 69, a vintage Volkswagen Beetle covered in one million Swarovski crystals! The next show is to take place in Milan in 2020. Make sure to put it on your calendar!
