A project that speaks of smiles inevitably has a cheerful vocation. And after the difficult months we’ve been through, we could all do with a dose of joviality, at least in those little everyday things. In tune with this feeling, the limited edition of tau-marin toothbrushes by Alessandro Enriquez interprets the spirit of the moment and helps us brighten our approach to the day. On sale in selected pharmacies and healthcare stores, “Splendidi Splendenti” is the limited version of the Professional 27 toothbrush featuring inclined, differentiated elasticity bristles and an iconic design. Its cheerful pop colourways have been curated by the Sicilian creative who was selected by Vogue Talents. The collection is a delightful example of Italian-made excellence, resulting from an encounter between the designer – whose passion for Italy shines through in every project – and the Italian oral care leader in pharmacy by Alfasigma, one of the main Italian pharmaceutical companies at a global level. Alessandro Enriquez says: “For this collaboration I was inspired by the struggles that other people have waged for us in the past, Pride parades and gay rights, the fantastic ’80s, Italian music, and a desire to smile that we should all have, but many of us often lose. It was a fun project where I wanted to conceive a message, not just a personalisation. For the logo I chose gold as a symbol of prosperity. Then I focused on the simplest of colours – the hues of a rainbow symbolising freedom and harmony – like Gilbert Baker’s rainbow flag that has been a symbol of the LGBTQIA+ movement since the 1980s.” With shiny crystals and smiling mouths to enliven the colours, the “Splendidi Splendenti” toothbrush conveys a happy frame of mind. The post-pandemic renaissance also taps into the energy of a limited edition that celebrates made in Italy, health and joy.
